Personal Attendant Care Inc. is a charitable non-profit organization, in the Durham Region, providing personal support, respite and assisted living to adults with physical challenges so they can remain independent in their community.

Personal Attendant Care (PAC) was founded in 1974 as a supportive housing unit for adults.  In 1992 the organization transitioned to a provider of home support services.  Personal Support Workers (PSWs) provide a range of services including: personal grooming and hygiene; bathing and washing; assistance with rising and retiring; toileting, bowel and bladder care; transferring; assistance with feeding; meal preparation; and, respite. PSWs assist clients in their home, place of work and/or educational institution.

PAC continuously strives to improve quality and has achieved accreditation by Accreditation Canada since 2000. 

The organization is governed by an elected, volunteer Board of Directors which provides overall direction through the Chief Executive Officer, to a Senior Management Team. Funding is derived from the Ministry of Health & Long-Term Care though the Central East Local Health Integration Network.
